State of the Union Address

Well it has been a long time since we last took some pics, but, man, have we been busy! Drew has had a tremendous growth spurt and can now crawl forwards, pull himself up, get himself to a sit, say a few words, is practicing with real table food, and can take a few steps holding onto the furniture. Needless to say, Russ and I have been babyproofing like crazy and not letting him out of our site. He is just really enjoying himself and eager to get down and play everywhere. Gone are the days of placing him on a clean blanket with a few select toys....He definitely is pretty obsessed with cords and anything that belongs to the puppy, especially her food bowls. Brady is doing a great job and is very patient with the little guy, but we definitely keep meal times separate.
We have been busy catching up with relatives as well. We went down to Knoxville and enjoyed a nice visit with Grandma Haskin. She really enjoyed seeing him and he was the star of the retirement community. Mimi and Grandpa also came down for a visit and Russ and I spent our first night together away from the little man. It was a lot of fun and something that we are looking forward to doing again...maybe in a better location than just the Westin in Richmond!
On a more challenging note, Drew has been quite sick with near constant ear infections so he is scheduled to have ear tubes placed on Friday. Hopefully this will help him stay at his best and remain a happy little fella. He is also cutting 4 teeth at once and has been a bit grumpy on several occasions. He has not really slept through the night consistently since New Years Eve, a fact that unfortunately his grandparents and the residents of the Knoxville Marriott got to experience first hand. Hopefully once the tubes and teeth are in, we will have more luck in getting our little guy to understand the beauties of a good night's rest!
Feeding himself...sort of
Being a "Doosey"
Goofing around!
