Drew's Ist Birthday!!!!!!

Well, we all made it through the first year, and we celebrated Drew's first birthday in style......We both took the day off and took Drew out to lunch at Panera after he had a nice, long birthday nap. After a grilled cheese, we headed to the Richmond Zoo. Drew definitely seemed a little overwhelmed at first, but then he got REALLY excited when he saw the tigers and the bears. He was banging on the glass trying to call them, like he tries to call Brady when he is in his tubbie. It was hysterical! After the Zoo (which is a pretty sad zoo-we don't recommend it), we headed home to open up some presents. He got a lot of books, a learning game, and his very own guitar! Hopefully he will stop trying to play Russ' as often now that he has his very own! I made cheese raviolis for him (one of his favs) and then he tasted cake for the very first time! He must have been watching Russ and I eat this good stuff because he knew exactly what to do....complete with licking the last little bit of frosting off of his fingers! It was a great day!
