Father's Day

Although this was technically Russ's second Father's Day, I think it felt like his first since Drew was only a few weeks old last year and we were still stuck in the newborn fog. Unfortunately, I had to cover the nursery at MCV in the am, but I was home by lunchtime and this even allowed them some male-bonding time!
Russ woke Drew up and dressed in matching English soccor jerseys, they headed to Dunkin Donuts and then to U of R with the puppy for some fun! Drew would cry each time Brady went into the lake at first, but he soon realized that she would be okay and come back. By the time Drew's morning nap was done with, I was home with sandwiches for the boys. Then it was off to Windy Hill to hit some golf balls, play a few holes of mini-golf, and into the batting cages. Drew had a blast trying to imitate his Dad (his new favorite acitivity) and I know Russ loved it just as much! After a brief faux-nap/Drew time, we headed back out to Capitol Ale House for dinner on the patio and then some ice cream at Rita's. It was a great, great day!

Stepping up to take a swing
Ready to play....
Trying to figure it all out...

Maybe I will have better luck at the next tee?
This is more my speed.
Man, I wish I could go in there!
Not loving the helmet.
