Drew's First Field Trip

Last Wednesday, I went with Drew on his first field trip. It was to the Pumpkin Patch, of course! Drew starts his new classroom tomorrow at daycare and he is now in a Junior Toddler classroom. It is a big change-not only does he have new teachers, but he is on an entirely different floor of the center and he will be on a different playground too. These kids range in age from 16 months to a little over 2 years-old, and man, some of them look big and talk big! Since Drew is the oldest of his little Three Musketeer trio (these three little friends have been together since they were 12 weeks old), he goes first, and will not have his trusty friends, E and J, to be with him! Hopefully he will recognize some of the other kids who have already graduated a couple months ago, and will get so excited over the new toys and new room that he won't have too hard of a day.

To try and get Drew used to this new change, we went with the Junior Toddlers on their field trip. Unfortunately, I would not call it a success. He was cold and out of sorts and clinging onto me for dear life, so I can't really say that he interacted with any of the other kids or spent any quality time with his new teachers. But, we gave it a shot! Here are some pics from the event. Thanks, Mimi, for the warm sweater! We needed it! Virginia all of a sudden got quite cold this week!
