Labor Day in Wrightsville Beach

For Labor Day weekend, we headed down to Wrightsville Beach to stay with our dear friends, Patrick and Susan. They have a wonderful two-year-old, Ella, who was a very gracious hostess and let Drew play with all of her toys and stay in her play room. With a quick drive down there, we were able to spend all of Saturday and Sunday relaxing with the little ones-digging in the sand, sliding down slides at the park, and going for a great long run. Drew loved eating the sand, as always, and he really enjoyed strutting his stuff on the strip in Wrightsville Beach while we waited in line at the Trolley Stop. The Rentons have a wonderful Golden Retriever, Kaia, who Drew thoroughly tormented, giggling as he lifted up Kaia's head and dropped it on the tile floor. We had great food and loved relaxing in the hot tub on their back deck. Sunday night we headed out to eat and left the kids with a sitter and experienced some of the night life of Wrightsville Beach with the Taylors. It was a great trip and we hope to get back for another visit soon!
