Drew has certainly just grown up over night. We feel like he is having a little bit of a growth spurt and it is very exciting! For those of you who check in from out of town, I thought I would blog it all down....
He definitely has some good solid words, after a couple months of jibberish. He can say "dog" or "pup pup" and can now say "Brady", although it comes out more like "baby". He is back to waving bye bye and sometimes waves hi. He can say "milk", although it means any milk product, whether milk, yogurt or cheese. He can say "more", although sometimes it sounds like "mimi" and we ask him if his Mimi is hiding in the pantry....haha! Of course, MaMa and DaDa come out all the time. He has started blowing kisses too and will give the real ones out, but only to mom. Dad gets the lean-in....I guess men don't kiss eachother on the lips. The puppy also now gets the lean-in, thankfully, instead of the make-out sessions they used to have!
His favorite book these days is 8 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed, which I think is really cute because it was his cousin, Alex's favorite book for awhile when she was his age. He gets really excited when you read it and sings along, and if you even mention a "monkey" in any context, he says "du bah dah" which we interpret as "the doctor said" from the book.
He is obsessed with balls of any kind and walks around the house throwing the basketball, saying "ball, ball, ball" etc. When Russ pulled into the driveway tonight, he saw our neighbor playing basketball out in the cul de sac and Drew started saying "b-ball" and grabbed the big basketball out of the garage....It is just amazing how big he has gotten!
