This year, Drew might have had a clue that something was up on Halloween. He has been very into the 8 Silly Monkeys Jumping on the Bed book, so of course, he was a monkey. It was close to 80 degrees here in Richmond, so his warm costume did not stay on him too long, but when he was in costume, he enjoyed running around the house, saying "Doo Bah da", which as you all well know, means monkey or something related to the book. We went to Trick or Treat Street at the University of Richmond fraternity row during the day, and Drew was able to explore his father's fraternity lodge and drive the pirate ship. After a nice long nap, we headed out for some trick-or-treating. He loved walking up and down the street in his costume, holding a pumpkin (aka "BALL!"). We met up with the Railsbacks and the Bergmans to trick-or-treat, so he was able to watch the older kids and see what to do! It was a great night. Now to just get rid of all this candy....
