We traveled up to New England again this year to see both sides of the family. It was full and packed, but great to see everyone. Drew especially enjoyed all the attention. He got to sleep in the same room as Mimi and Grandpa, and Russ and I really enjoyed the extra sleep. He enjoyed all the animals at both houses and even got everyone's names sort-of straight by the end of the trip.
The best part of the Christmas break had to have been hearing Drew start speaking like crazy. He went from saying a handful of words to stringing words together and making short sentences. He just started saying anything we said and he is so proud! He also had a crazy growth spurt while we were gone-eating like crazy, sleeping a lot, and then he just sprouted up and his shoes got tight.
It was great to be able to spend all that time together and watch Drew enjoy our relatives. Unfortunately, I was too busy resting and did not take many pictures, so we do not have any Rhode Island shots from our camera, but I will post some when I get them. I couldn't resist picking up the camera in CT though when his cousins arrived. I just love seeing them together, even if it was only for a few hours.
