New Things

Eating the apple by the magnets
Hanging with Willa at the CMOR

We have been having a great time since we got back from our holiday travels. I have been feeling MUCH better, and am loving the 2nd trimester! I feel like I finally have energy again, and am able to start giving everyone the attention that they deserve. Russ and I even got away for a night last weekend to head up to D.C. ALONE and enjoyed visiting the Holocaust Museum and having a fancy dinner. Mimi and Grandpa, as always, seemed to enjoy the quality time with Drew. It has been great to get together with friends again, and enjoy our time at home. We hired a painter a couple weeks ago, and now the house has some color, the pictures are hung, and it is feeling more like home every day. If only it would stay a bit warmer consistently, we would be able to go outside more and spend some more time getting to know our neighbors. I am anxious for Spring to meet some of the other moms at the playground.
Drew has been thriving and talking and growing like a weed! He is obsessed with buses and enjoys our ride to work together tremendously, since we pass so many schools and see so many schoolbuses! He yells out "BUS" at the top of his lungs and gets so excited when we get to follow one for a long time. We went to the Children's Museum this week with one of the mom's that I took prenatal yoga with and her daughter and the kids had a blast together. It was so cute to see them flirting with eachother and chasing eachother around the museum and getting into mischief together. Drew definitely likes the older girls! Even if they are only a few weeks ahead! He is learning so much these days. I came home from work yesterday to find Russ and Drew sitting on the couch reciting the ABCs! When he was eating an apple today (which is in itself quite a feat), he reached over to the alphabet magnets on the refrigerator and pointed out the letter A! I think he also is starting to get an idea for what is in store for him, since he patted my stomach this morning and said "baby". It has been too fun!
