A Day in Drewsey-Land

I woke up at 5:45am when I heard my Dad trying to sneak out of the house to visit Grandma Haskin. I was so psyched to see him creep in my door and give me a great big hug and a kiss before he left for the night! Then it was off to go wake up Mom....I was hungry! After a great breakfast of milk, pears, and Cheerios, Mom and I headed to Ukrops in our pjs for some food for the weekend. I loved flirting with all the workers there and Mom even let me hold the coupons, of which I only ate a few. Since I had started my dad so early, I only semi-reluctantly went down for a 2 hour nap at 8:45 after reading Good Night Moon twice-it is my favorite book by far! Lunch was scrumptous-more pears, some peas, ham, milk, and toast. Then it was off to the park by Thomas Jefferson High to meet my friends from Mom's prenatal yoga class. We really enjoyed the swings...and eating the sand. Since Mom did not pack a sippie cup, like the other mommys, I just drank a lot of water out of her Nalgene bottle and enjoyed spilling it on myself to keep cool. Back at home, I then helped Mom vacuum the upstairs and sort out the linen closet. She said that I was a big help. Then for some reason, Mom put me in my crib for some "Drew time". I spent the hour sucking my thumb, maybe sleeping a bit, and saying "Dadadada". Mom decided to let me out and we headed with Brady girl for a run around the neighborhood. Man, it was hot! but I enjoyed it! I love to laugh at Brady running beside me in the stroller and I always try to reach out and pet her. Since we were a little hungry after our run, I helped Mom grill some turkey burgers and we enjoyed dinner on the deck together. Mom's sippie cup looked a bit different than mine....it was made of glass and had a piece of lime sticking out! She would not let me try it. I really did like the burger though, and ate half! Then, it was tubbie time, one of my favorite things to do! I always read my tubbie book that Mimi bought me and tonight was very entertained by Mommy teaching me the animal sounds. All clean and in my pjs, I then tour apart the downstairs, finding little papers in drawers and little pieces off of the doorstoppers. I almost thought about taking a few steps, but then got scared and crawled instead. After a few more renditions of Good Night Moon and some cuddle time with Mom, I was back in that crib, this time thankfully for a good night's sleep. It was a great Spring day.....and tomorrow will be even better since Daddy will be back!
