Team Haskin: Getting Playful

We were very blessed to get together with a lot of close friends and family this week, and Rhys enjoyed the stimulation! Auntie Kristin came down to help me manage the boys for a few days while Russ went away on his first business trip. While it was a rough five days without Dad, we made it through! Unfortunately I did not get any pics of their time together but I know that Auntie did! It was great to see Drew and Rhys bond with their family:)

I was very lucky to be pregnant at the same time as several close friends and my sister-in-law. There is nothing quite like picking up the phone and chatting away about symptoms, pains, cravings and weight gain....but it is even better to get the babies together and to chat with them outside of the womb. I wish that we lived closer to my brother and sister-in-law so we could meet our nephew soon! We really enjoyed a visit from the Rentons, who now live in Wrightsville, and meeting "little" Jackson. Drew had a great time also this week with J.D. and Matty, some of his close buds. Unfortunately, we heard "no share" from Drew a few too many times..... Saturday morning we had a great visit with Drew's best bud, E, and his little bro Navi, who is Rhys's future classmate come October! I loved getting to know E's mom as we went every day to visit our babies so long ago and can't wait to spend our lunch breaks together again!

Friday night was spent with our weekly get-together with "Uncle Christian" at Capitol Ale House. Drew just loves eating the mac and cheese and showing Christian the fans! Saturday evening we went over to our old neighbors house and enjoyed a bonfire party, cul de sac style. Drew loved eating watermelon and his first toasted marshmallows and staying up late.

The best part of this week, however, was seeing Drew start to take more interest in his baby brother. Rhys has really started smiling and cooing and Drew loves it! He has even held him a few times, but alas, I haven't captured that on film yet.
